To extend the boundaries of best practice by working with the Government on benchmarking and through leadership in sustainable procurement. We aim to use our influence with members and their supply chains to have a net beneficial impact on society.
To act as the primary source of advice and guidance to Government policy makers on sustainable supply chain solutions. The company will help the Government and other interested parties to define and shape best practice in sustainable procurement.
Our company differs from a general commercial company because the company will exist to lead and inspire sustainable procurement practice. It will use the expertise of its directors and wider membership to encourage and educate public and private sector organisations to buy and sell more sustainably.
If the company makes any surplus it will be used for investment in further research into the subject or provision of free services to organisations that can benefit the community through more sustainable procurement practice.
