Hasmead have completed a pilot programme of eco-driver training with its staff. The initial programme was for 12 drivers, and covered a 1 day driving course including both theory and on road training. The key benefits of the course were: . Reduced fuel use and CO2 emissions of up to 20%; . Reduced wear and tear on the vehicles, and so better running costs; . Increased driver awareness and a less stressed driving environment.
Hasmead are now rolling the training out to all drivers and are training a further 24 staff members in the coming months.
