Free Procurement Matching Service for Large City Firms
In these difficult financial times, the City of London Corporation is delighted to offer a new service to procurers, supply chain managers and buyers that save firms both time and money.
This service is free of charge to any large firms, and their supply chains that have a physical presence within or very close to the City of London's "Square Mile" (for example an office or operation).
The service matches the first, second and even third tier procurement needs with competitive, innovative businesses based in and around the City of London and who are outside procurers' current networks. Potential suppliers are matched to the exact criteria defined by procurers, saving firms the time and effort required to research markets. These suppliers will then be willing and prepared to compete for contracts by taking part in procurement processes.
The service does not propose that City firms consider local suppliers in this way just for the sake of it, but because it makes good business sense. Such activity supports firms' wider activity around sustainability, equality and Corporate Social Responsibility. Also, several firms have maximised the positive marketing messages resulting from these schemes.
Action Sustainability is delivering this initiative on behalf of the City of London Corporation and is currently meeting firms to fully understand business needs, to propose solutions. We are also very pleased to meet with first tier suppliers who we can also help.
This activity is funded by the City of London Corporation as part of its
Ready to Supply the City
programme, which is a part of a commitment to bridge the gap between the City and its neighbours, supporting prosperity across the City fringes.
