Latest employment figures published by the Olympic Delivery Authority


The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA)has today published the final set of employment and skills figures for theOlympic Park and Olympic Village (snapshot at June 2011).

The figures show that the combinedOlympic Park and Olympic Village 'big build' workforce is now at 10,989 as the'big build' nears completion.

A quarter (25%) are resident in thefive Host Boroughs - Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and WalthamForest - this is above the target of Host Borough residents making up at least15% of the construction workforce. More than six out of ten live in London.

The ODA has also published cumulativeemployment figures for the Olympic Park (April 2008 - June 2011) and OlympicVillage workforce (April 2010 - June 2011), showing that overall 40,341 peoplehave worked on the Olympic Park and Village.
