Digital Marketing Executive

  • Salary: £30,000 + profit share + discretionary bonus

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Digital Marketing Executive to join our team at Action Sustainability.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainability and possess a strong track record in executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our brand’s reputation and driving membership growth for the Supply Chain Sustainability School, with a special focus on promoting the Fairness, Inclusion & Respect (FIR) programme. You will excel at managing our digital presence, crafting compelling creative assets, and delivering clear, impactful communication.

The Marketing department sits at the heart of the business, providing marketing tools, best practice and expertise. As a key member of our team, you will drive growth and uncover new opportunities to engage our members and clients, advancing our mission to effect positive, sustainable change.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management: Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, build reputation, and generate new members for the Supply Chain Sustainability School. Engage these members with sustainability topics, including the Fairness, Inclusion & Respect (FIR) programme.
  • Website Management: Regularly update and optimise the website to reflect current initiatives, engage visitors, and align with the School’s brand.
  • Content Production: Oversee content calendars and produce high-quality materials, including news articles, blog posts, and publications, to build thought leadership and engage members.
  • Social Media Strategy: Implement strategies across social media platforms to drive engagement, build community, and promote content related to the School and the FIR programme. Track metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Email Marketing: Execute email marketing campaigns to inform and engage members. Manage mailing lists, craft compelling content, and analyse performance for continuous improvement.
  • Analytics & Insights: Utilise tools like Google Analytics to track user behaviour and enhance the effectiveness of digital marketing activities. Monitor campaign performance, derive insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Awards: Implement strategies to identify and secure key strategic partnerships and industry awards that enhance brand visibility and align with our core values. Manage campaign plans and oversee exhibition stands to drive membership growth for the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
  • Design: Create professional documents, PowerPoint presentations, promotional flyers, social media graphics, and event materials to effectively support and promote the Supply Chain Sustainability School and FIR Programme.
  • Brand Management: Maintain brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports offering key insights and recommendations to Head of Marketing and key stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Executive to review and develop new processes and initiatives. Support the introduction of best practice guides, training, and coordination of new marketing initiatives.

  • Creativity: Innovative thinking for designing engaging content, promotional materials, and effective social media strategies.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of strategic planning and vision to support overall business and marketing goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using digital marketing tools (Mailchimp/Force24, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite), design software (Canva), analytics platforms (Google Analytics), survey tools (SurveyMonkey), content management systems (WordPress), and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Passion for Sustainability: Genuine interest in sustainability and commitment to the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) agenda.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing role, with strong expertise in campaign management and a keen eye for design and detail.
