Bill Marshall Consultant

Bill Marshall joined Action Sustainability in 2010, following an extensive career in the construction and utilities sectors, working on a wide range of projects, large and small, at home and overseas. Whilst his career began in an engineering capacity, ‘peg bashing’ as he puts it, he progressively moved into procurement and supply chain management. During his time in industry, he acquired widespread experience in purchasing a wide range of goods and services extending from lobster pots to cranes, architectural salvage to bullet proof windows, and geotechnical services to mechanical and electrical installations.

With his extensive background and expertise in the construction industry, Bill delivers workshops on sustainable procurement, carries out sustainable procurement assessments for public and private sector clients and provides specific support to small and medium enterprises, both through Action Sustainability and the Supply Chain Sustainability School. He has also worked with local authorities and the like, to engage local businesses in regeneration schemes.

Professionally, Bill is a Chartered Construction Manager, as a corporate member of the CIOB. He is also a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) and a Practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA).  Outside of work, Bill is a keen angler!
