Mark Lyster Managing Director

Mark is the co-founder and Managing Director of Action Sustainability Asia Pacific and has been at the cutting-edge of sustainability and business in Australia for the last two decades.

Mark has advised many large private sector, government, and non-government organisations on integrating sustainability into organisational strategy in a manner that creates shareholder and societal value.

Mark specialises in the following areas: Sustainability strategy; responsible lending and investing; infrastructure sustainability; sustainable procurement; and human rights.

Mark advised a number of leading organisations, including CBA, ANZ, IAG, Maple Brown Abbot, Port of Brisbane, City of Sydney, NSW Office of Environment & Heritage, Transport for NSW, NSW Road & Maritime Services, Sustainability Victoria, Transurban, Woolworths, ISCA, Cotton Australia, Placer Dome, WMC, Foodbank and the World-Wide Fund for Nature.

Mark has held Director-level positions at leading consulting firms, including Ecos Corporation, Net Balance and EY and has a Master of Science (Ag Econ) and attended the Executive Development Program at IMD, Switzerland.

Mark is a keen surfer, kayaker and enjoys the occasional adventure like Wild Endurance, Everest Base Camp and summiting Mont Blanc.
