David Emery
Sector Manager – Digital, Offsite & Wales

David Emery is a Consultant with the Supply Chain Sustainability School and is responsible for developing and delivering the School’s training materials around digital construction, MMC (modern methods of construction) and offsite. He also leads the School’s Wales Leadership Group.

David’s background is as an architectural technologist. He was BIM (building information monitoring) manager on the first 5D BIM projects in the UK, and his company was the first in the UK to be awarded ‘Graphisoft Registered Consultant’ status.

He has presented at workshops and industry events on the topics of BIM, DfMA (design for manufacture and assembly) and offsite construction to thousands of people over the last 20 years. He first worked with the School several years ago and the relationship culminated with him joining the team full-time in 2021.

David was recently awarded an MSc in Offsite Housing Construction. He is married to his endlessly supportive wife Sue and he has three grown-up children and four grandchildren.
