Action Sustainability Asia Pacific is now part of KPMG Australia 11 March 2020

KPMG Australia announced on 11 March it has acquired the business of Action Sustainability Asia Pacific which specialises in social and environmental sustainability advisory services, including sustainable supply chains, investments, property and infrastructure.

Announcing the deal, KPMG Australia CEO, Gary Wingrove said:

“Action Sustainability Asia Pacific’s social and environmental expertise complements and expands our existing human rights, social impact and sustainability capabilities and builds on KPMG’s acquisition of leading human rights consultancy Banarra four years ago.”

“KPMG continues to invest in supporting our clients to understand and respond to the key issues which will fundamentally shape and impact our shared future,” he said.

KPMG Banarra’s Global Head of Human Rights Services, Richard Boele explained:

“They bring great depth in the built environment and infrastructure sustainability performance areas, as well as complement our human rights, modern slavery and responsible sourcing capability. It’s a great match for us to grow the impact we can have with our clients on societal and global challenges.”

Action Sustainability Asia Pacific Co-founders and Directors, Mark Lyster, Jean-Louis Haie and Alistair Coulstock said:

“We have valued our working relationship with Action Sustainability UK and Aquiliti over the last three years and we look forward to continuing working together. Joining KPMG is very aligned with our purpose of inspiring sustainable business, broadens our service offering to our clients and creates the opportunity for us to have greater impact at scale.”

Based in Sydney, the Action Sustainability Asia Pacific team will relocate to KPMG’s Barangaroo premises.
