Briefing: International responsible sourcing guidance for solar panels Watch the recording below

This is an opportunity to find out about the current project underway, led by Action Sustainability, on the development of international responsible sourcing guidance for solar panels.

Funding Partners for the project include: Advanté, Balfour Beatty, Kier, National Grid, Sky, Taylor Wimpey, The City of London Corporation and Westminster City Council

Organisations across all sectors are under pressure to gain visibility into their multi-tier supply chains and to share more information with their customers, partners, and stakeholders. Regulatory due diligence requirements, focus from the investment community through ESG reporting, and more informed consumer expectations, have all contributed to organisations needing to raise the bar.

The industry’s awareness of the sustainability challenges associated with certain supply chains is growing, for example batteries, PPE, timber, quarried products, garments and IT. Meanwhile, new supply chain hot spots are emerging – the responsible sourcing of solar panels being one of the latest controversial issues facing the built environment.

This short webinar will provide you with an overview of:

• What the issue is around solar panels and why industry needs to respond.

• Aims and objectives of the guidance

• What the guidance will include (it will be free and made publicly available).

• Progress to date.

• Timelines.

• How you can get involved.
